Notice this year we will be 3 full days of festiveness'. We can show up at 2:00 pm on Thursday and clear out on Sunday by noon.

Here is how this will play out so listen up. We will have 3 group meals, Friday Night, Saturday morning, Saturday Night. I will put together a breakdown and be working on assignments for all families. We would like to get all families to participate so we can better unite around meal time. The theme is "los banditos" each family will be responsible for making bandanas for members of your family. Bandanas for ALL, you may choose your own personal style of how you wear it but it must be on your body for the entire reunion. You can make them out of old bed sheets if you like just make sure all your family is matching. For example, every person that is under Mike and Wilma will have matching gear. Saturday morning there will be a junior olympics for the kids with the awards ceremony as part of the program that night. All kids that can blink will be required to participate. There will be a horseshoe tournement as well. Program Saturday night after dinner. Be working on talents of all kinds to share with the group. I am excited about the spot that was picked for this years get together. For starters it is very affordable we are looking at $20 per family for all three days. There is no cost difference if you have a trailer or tent. We are billed for warm bodies only. If you plan to stay in hotel you can be to Malad in less than 15 min. Any extra money will go to the family fund to buy supplies for the following year. The campsite is located at the top of the malad pass about 2 miles off the highway up a canyon. We have a private area that is gated with no through traffic. It is wooded and there is a stream nearby to play in (water flow depends on snowpack). The road is well groomed so any vehicle can get in. We have restrooms and a drinking fountain. There is no electricity. Thois would be proud. There are trails to hike, ride wheelers, dirt bikes, horses, mt bikes, shoot game, etc. It will be a great area to hang out together in one spot and have fun. Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all, I know it's two days later, but I'm still feeling it, so there you go. We had a very nice Thanksgiving, just Greg, the kids, Mom and Dad, and I, which was cozy. We bucked tradition and boycotted turkey this year. No one is that in love with it, so we went for the very untraditional crab legs, shrimp, and steak this year. And it was wonderful, even if I do say so myself. (I wasn't the only one saying it was wonderful either.) We had plenty of traditional side dishes, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, rolls, etc., and later on everyone congregated at Mom and Dad's for pie. It was very nice and I think Thanksgiving has to be one of my most favorite holidays, no stress, just come and let's eat together and be with each other. How can you beat that?

I would like to say how thankful I am for this awesome family. At the reunion this summer, I was sitting around the campfire with all the cousins and all the kids, visiting, roasting marshmallows, and just being together, and I thought of how proud Grandpa and Grandma must be of this amazing family. It just made me think that THIS is what it's all about, family, loving each other, taking time for each other, and being together. I love our family and can't wait for our next reunion!

The Bob Martineau's are well. For anyone who hasn't seen him yet, Baby Rayce is adorable, smart, cuddly, and perfect. He is already growing so quickly and is getting some very pinchable cheeks. We are excited to get two more babies sometime in March of 2010 too!

girl power!!

A Halloween Treat!

Here are some pictures I came across the other night of the Martineau girls at Halloween. My how we've grown. I don't know where Lyndsay was, she must have been too cool for Halloween that year. We always hated having to wear coats over our costumes, darn this cold Idaho weather!

Newest Martineau Baby

Congrats go to Brandon & Rachael, who welcomed a bouncing baby boy into the world last night around 11:00 p.m.

He was 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 22 inches long, and mother and baby are doing well, despite the very long day. They have named him Rayce and have yet to settle on a middle name.

In my calling as Bishop, I've been recently introduced to new.familysearch.org. Some of you may already be familiar with it and using it. Others, especially those in the Idaho and Utah temple districts are just now coming online, my stake will "go live" next week. So, for those who are interested we can started getting our immediate families updated and can work together on our extended family lines. Joy for Halloween

I've had this picture for a long time and I thought it would be nice to share. This is my Mom (Joy) wearing some sort of homemade kimono. I am told that Glen and Bob were both hobos that year. I guess that was before there were Transformers and Sponge Bob.
